...:: Monday Moxie ~ Consequences ::...

We avoid the things that we're afraid of because we think there will be dire consequences if we confront them. But the truly dire consequences in our lives come from avoiding things that we need to learn about or discover.

  2. I wonder if you did a poll what percent would say that they were risk takers?

    Are men more likely to try something new than women? What about sexually?

    Your post triggered a lot of questions in my mind about myself and society. I know that there are some situations that I avoid, but the result is that I get pissed at myself for not going for it! So the whole avoidance thing rarely is satisfying. Nevertheless, I can keeping an open mind and willing to try new things. The only exception is when it comes to dating...if my Spidey Sense is tingling I ain't trying to discover a damn thing about him! I'm bouncing!

  3. A.K. ~ Still thinking about that awesome view you have...a girl has to dream for now :-).

    Hey, Eyes on the Prize! Very good questions. I know what you mean, I've become more cautious over the years, something I'm not too happy about but I can correct it. I hear ya on the intuition part too, it would be great if more folks would heed the warnings.

    From a physical standpoint, whew, seems like everybody I know is kinky...lol.

  4. Kinky? What's kinky? Well, maybe we shouldn't touch that. But if you show me yours, I'll show you mine *lol*. Of course I am kidding... sort of.

    On another note, they say fools go where wise men (and women) tread not. I think with age, aka, wisdom, we acquire an innate ability to look at a "fire" and know that it is hot.

    But, I've also heard it said that curiousity killed the cat. I'm overjoyed that this cat has nine lives. Well, I think I'm down to less than 1.

    Maybe that's why my blog is named Carry Me Home. I need some help.
