To Rock the Red Pump?
This is a call to action, ladies!
While you may not be directly affected by HIV/AIDS it is very possible someone connected to you in one way or another may be. Or, possibly you have a friend or loved one who engages in high-risk behavior when it comes to nookie. There are a myriad of stories, but I'm asking for your help supporting The Red Pump Project (RPP).
March 10th marks the fourth annual National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. The RPP has stepped up for the second year in a row to engage, inform and reach out to bloggers who have the power to make a difference. Yes, that means YOU :-)!

Women and girls represent more than a quarter of all new HIV infections in the United States. More than 278,000 women and adolescent girls in this country are living with HIV;[1]nearly 94,000 American women and girls with AIDS have died since the epidemic began.[2]
Wondering how you can help? It’s quite easy to join the RPP and will only take a few minutes of your time. Here’s how:
- Send an email to rocktheredpump@theredpumpproject.com letting the RPP team know you’re interested in participating. They will send you instructions, stats and the HTML code for the awesome call to action widget.
- After you’ve added the widget, stop back to leave a comment here so I’ll know you’ve joined. Why? Because I will donate $5 (up to $150) to a nonprofit organization (TBD) for each blogger who joins the campaign between now and March 10th.
Fellas, don't feel left out, you can participate too!
May the red pump symbolize an ongoing commitment to taking steps closer
to eradicating this devastating, preventable disease!
Many thanks to the amazing Red Pump Project co-founders,
