Plans for the 20th...?

Anyone heading to D.C. for the festivities? My happy tail will be at home watching the ceremony because I don't do well in crowds. I may try to head downtown to a restaurant or two to check out the 'licous brothas social events. Kofi's making the trek and has very useful info to share.

Off to meet my girl, C'Dub, for breakfast, people watching and some needless shopping...our fave Saturday activities :). Have a fab weekend!

20 points of view:

  1. I love your site. How do I sign up. If you are wondering who this is. It's RodB from Hidden Beach. You know how to find me. Hit me up. I love this site

  3. I'll be watching Barack step to his post from the comfort of my living room. Though it make be cool to be a part of it from a right-there historic POV, the day itself will prolly to be frigid-cold & crazy packed to the point of being obscenely crowded. I won't even talk about the traffic situation. But I'll be all up & thru there, in spirit.

    Enjoy your weekend, ma...

    Snatch JOY!

    One.

p.s. thanks for the beautifully encouraging comment. It made me smile.

  5. Hey there CurvyGirl!

I am sure there will be quite a few political bloggers who will be live blogging the event!

There were 10 or 11 black bloggers from very well-established blogs who were in Denver for the DNC and I hope there will be more in D.C.!

    Peace, blessings and DUNAMIS!

Hey Stef! We’ll have to get you on the East Coast soon. LOL…nope, that’s some stock photo of a girl who’s much younger than I am (that’s me on the left though).

You got that right, Lin. I expect gridlock, so we’ll see. I didn’t realize that the parade doesn’t start until 2:30…there’s no way I’d be out there all that time.

That’s the least I could do, I know how it gets sometimes, we all need encouragement from time to time…and I appreciate your pure talent :).

Sounds good, Angel. I’ll check on ya shortly.

Hi Lisa! That’s good to know. I’ll keep an eye out for the latest info. Have a great week!

No doubt, Miz. “Talk” to ya shortly!

That’ll be fun, Keith. They make it sound like traffic will be backed up to Philly anyway, so this should be interesting…lol.

  12. I got an interview that morning so unless Obama is giving me a new job personally, I'm gonna have to miss watching the inaguration on tv. I'll DVR it and watch it later. But it's plenty events going on here in Chicago so I'll kick it somewhere that evening.

  19. My plan was to be in D.C. for the entire weekend, but then I was invited to a ball here in Chicago, so I'm kind of stuck.

BUT its -13 degrees right now and its supposed to get worse....I may just be watching Obama from my couch!
